The first glance at the results of a survey conducted in 2014 by the highly respected Pew Research Center is an eyeopening experience. It screams out the fact that female gamers feel shunned and discriminated against by online gaming sites.
The following question was asked: How welcoming are online âneighborhoodsâ to men and women? The five categories selected included gaming sites, dating sites, social networking, website comment sections, and discussion sites. In the last four categories combined, 50 percent believed women were more welcome, while 44 percent gave the nod to men. In those categories, a vast majority believed the neighborhoods were equally welcome.
